I just wanted to let my close friends on Google+ know that I am not up to ridding my bike again. I had a crash on my MTB last Sunday when my front wheel got stuck in a deep rut on a slight short downhill. I was through to the ground really hard and my hip hit a rock and the impact broke my femur just below the ball. I got a complete hip replacement on October 3, 2016.
Today is the first time that I have touched a keyboard in over a week which is a long time for me. I will post more stuff as I experience it, but I will not be on a bike for a long time.
Once again I really wanted to get on my Seven and ride out in the country. I drove my truck to work today because of a meeting, so I did not bike commute to work. When I got home I was wanting to get out on my bike.
I am really proud of my time on split number three which started at Leary Road and 8 Mile Road. I always like sprinting up this road during the last segment of my ride. I averaged 17.5 MPH on 8 Mile road, which is the fastest riding that I have done since my hip replacement. It felt good to just ride full out and not worry about hurting.
