It is been a long time since I have bike commuting to work two weeks in a row. Back in 2015, I was fanatical about riding 200 miles a week. I’ve m been working on the Albany State University West Campus for a little over a year and a half I have a 4-mile commute. I’ve been riding my cruiser bike until today when I broke out the big boy bike, my 7 Cycles Road bike.
On the cruiser bike, it usually takes me about 30 minutes to ride to and from work. Today when I rode my road bike to work it took me 20 minutes. It’s been a long time since I’ve been on a bike road and went over 20 miles an hour.
One of the main reasons for my hiatus from riding my road bike has been the rehabilitation of my titanium hip replacement. The last time I rode this bike last year I still had issues with my hips knees and joints not being perfectly balanced when I stood up the pedal. I decided to take a few more months and let my body heal itself. This morning when I got on my road bike and stood up and just cranked like crazy everything felt normal
